Seeing the cows up close before tasting the cheese made the whole platter feel so much more personal and genuine.

These are complemented by five varieties of local cheeses: the renowned Fontina, a creamy bleu, a smooth Toma Dolce, a matured Vieux and a fresh Caprino. Accompanying the cheeses are a sweet red currant marmalade, slices of dark, sweet bread, multi-grain crispy wafers, and crunchy grissini.
