  • Margaret - United Kingdom

The walk through the vineyards and the little museum on Luigi Arnulfo's life gave such a personal feel to the history before we even got to taste anything.

  • Felix - Germany

Tasting the two Barolos side by side in that old stone cellar, with cheese and cured meats on hand, was worth the trip to Piedmont alone.

  • Isabela - Brazil

Our guide explained the fermentation and barrel aging so clearly that by the time we reached the Barolo Chinato I actually understood what I was drinking.

Full description

Explore the vineyards, heritage, and winemaking traditions of a local winery on a guided visit through the estate. Begin among the vineyards surrounding the property, with an introduction to vine cultivation and the different stages of the vine’s annual growth cycle.

Continue to the museum dedicated to the story of founder Luigi Arnulfo, then visit the winery to discover what happens after the harvest—from fermentation in stainless-steel tanks to aging in barrels.

Conclude in an atmospheric tasting room in the estate’s historic cellar, where Luigi Arnulfo once kept his Barolo barrels. Enjoy a guided tasting of five wines, beginning with the estate’s only white wine, Langhe Chardonnay, followed by two classic Piedmontese varieties: Barbera and Nebbiolo.

Finish with two Barolos: Barolo Bussia, the estate’s classic Barolo, and Barolo Campo dei Buoi, made from grapes grown in one of the property’s historic vineyards of the same name.

On request, the experience can conclude with a taste of Barolo Chinato, accompanied by an explanation of its history and distinctive characteristics. The wines are served with breadsticks and a small selection of local cured meats and cheeses.
