Volle Beschreibung

Experience the authentic flavors of rural Fasano through an immersive journey into the world of traditional Apulian cheesemaking. Surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and peaceful countryside landscapes, this experience invites you to discover how some of southern Italy’s most beloved dairy specialties are still crafted by hand today.
Your visit begins inside a traditional artisan dairy farm located within a historic masseria, a rural farmhouse deeply connected to the agricultural heritage of Puglia. Here, skilled cheesemakers continue to preserve techniques passed down through generations, transforming fresh milk into mozzarella, burrata and other regional specialties using traditional methods and careful craftsmanship.
During the guided dairy tour, you will watch the live production of fresh mozzarella and learn how texture, temperature and manual skill shape the final product. Discover the delicate process behind burrata, one of Puglia’s most famous cheeses, known for its creamy center and soft outer shell. Even travelers unfamiliar with Italian dairy traditions will gain insight into the passion and expertise behind these iconic foods.
The guided visit through the dairy facility lasts approximately 20 minutes and offers a fascinating look into daily production inside a working countryside farm.
The experience continues with freshly prepared cheeses and local delicacies served in a relaxed rural setting. Guests will enjoy fresh mozzarella, creamy burrata, ricotta and primo sale cheese, either natural or flavored with herbs. There's a selection of 5 to 6 aged and semi-aged cheeses that showcase the variety and richness of Apulian dairy traditions.
To complement the cheeses, local wine, handmade taralli and regional cured meats. Taralli, the crunchy ring-shaped snack typical of Puglia, perfectly accompany the fresh and aged flavors of the tasting selection.
Unlike fast-paced food tours, this experience is designed to be enjoyed slowly. After the guided visit, guests are welcome to relax and spend time exploring the masseria and its surrounding countryside atmosphere at their own pace.
Beyond the dairy experience, the historic farmhouse offers a glimpse into authentic rural life in southern Italy. Originally built in the late nineteenth century, the estate once housed farming families, animals and agricultural production all within the same property. Today, many of these traditional spaces remain preserved, creating a setting that feels timeless and deeply connected to nature.
You will have the opportunity to meet the farm animals that live on the estate, including cows, sheep, goats and chickens. The peaceful environment offers a refreshing escape from crowded tourist destinations and allows visitors to connect with the slower rhythms of the Apulian countryside.
Perfect for food lovers, couples, families and curious travelers, this experience combines live mozzarella craftsmanship, authentic local flavors and countryside charm in one unforgettable Apulian farm visit.
