The mineral whites from those high-altitude vineyards were a revelation, and the cellar tour explaining the glacial soils made every sip make sense.

The mocetta and Fontina paired with the reds were incredible, honestly the best food and wine matching I've had in the Alps.

Descrizione completa

Set among the Alpine landscapes of Valle d’Aosta, this experience introduces you to the unique world of mountain winemaking, shaped by glacial soils, steep slopes, high altitudes, and sharp temperature variations. These extreme conditions give life to wines of remarkable intensity, freshness, and authenticity.
Your experience begins with a welcome at the winery, where a local expert will guide you through the cellar and share the story of a family whose craft has long been rooted in the mountains. For generations they worked with aromas and botanicals, transforming scents into distillates, a heritage that naturally evolved into a new form of expression: wine. As you explore the production spaces, you’ll learn how Alpine viticulture pushes beyond 900 meters of altitude, where heroic cultivation on steep terraces and glacial soils shapes wines with remarkable purity and character. Along the way, you’ll also discover the estate’s commitment to sustainability, powered entirely by renewable energy and equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles, a concrete gesture toward protecting the territory.
After the tour, you’ll be invited into the tasting room for a guided sampling of four wines from the classic line, selected according to availability. The reds are intense, elegant, and deeply rooted in the mountain’s identity, crafted from varieties grown in challenging conditions and refined with artisanal care. The whites are fresh, vertical, and mineral, born at altitude where thermal excursions and glacial soils create pure aromas, vibrant acidity, and exceptional aromatic precision.
The tasting is paired with a curated selection of traditional products from Valle d’Aosta. You’ll enjoy mocetta, a lean, aromatic cured meat made from mountain beef; boudin, a local sausage enriched with spices and other regional cold cuts with deep alpine flavors. The cheese selection includes Fontina, known for its creamy texture, and toma, a semi‑hard cheese with delicate herbal notes from high‑altitude pastures. Everything is served with artisanal grissini, and gluten‑free options can be arranged upon request.
This experience is ideal for wine lovers, travelers seeking authenticity, and anyone curious about the unique identity of Alpine wines.
